The Majestic Rock
The rock stands firm in the deep
A solemn force, a promise to keep,
The soft supple waves break gently against her
Sheltering the soul, beauty and structure,
A path carves the way to the heart
Entering every crevasse and satisfying every part,
As each crevasse is quenched around her
The overflow cascades back into the river,
The majestic rock that holds its beauty
Is a spectacular formation from God’s wondrous story.
His word is firm, and true and just
His love compels us; serve Him we must,
To be drawn to the rock of ages of old
Is a privilege to know the greatest story ever told!

Here I Am
As I lay on my bed
All alone and frail,
All I have are my thoughts,
For this old body has nothing to tell.
“Call on me,” whispered a voice.
I think about my children
And reflections of my youth,
All I have are my thoughts
Because I can no longer move,
“Call on me,” whispered a voice.
As I remain here in my room
Waiting for my eternal destination;
All I have are my thoughts,
There’s no one to share as a companion.
“Call on me,” whispered a voice.
As I look around my room and hallway
I feel like shouting, “I need someone.”
And then a voice was heard from within,
“Cast all your cares on me, I am God’s redeeming Son!”
“Here I am, call on me,” whispered the voice.

God’s Grace Through It All
The rain comes to wash away the sin,
The sun shines to birth new shoots of life,
The moon appears to offer direction at the midnight hour,
And grace comes to encompass the souls who need him.
The world is filled with turmoil, we know,
The sky and earth gives way to fury,
This is when we ask, “Why?” God, “Why?”
And then, God’s grace fills our hearts again.
God hears the cry of the righteous,
He listens to every fainthearted whisper,
He is near to the victims of the swelling flood and
He is wrapped around the child caught in the swirl,
All because God’s grace is through it all.
When we reach the other shore we’ll understand it better,
The depth of God’s love and the nearness and riches of his grace,
“You’re right Lord!” This world was not my home. We passed through it together.”
You landed me safely in the bosom of your grace!

LIFE IS…
Life Is: Learning, Growing and Experiencing;
It’s: Falling, Failing, and Fearing
Life Is: Seeking, Searching, and Reaching;
It’s: Losing, Whining, and Weeping
Life Is: Living, Laughing, and Giving;
It’s: Rejecting, Frowning, and Upsetting
Life Is: Helping, Doing, and Ministering;
It’s: Hurting, Dying, and Grieving
Life Is: A cycle of God’s unconditional love,
That is meant for each one of us to recycle!
Love Someone Today!

THE LIGHT WAY
He’s the light of my life
And the glory of my soul,
Since I gave Him my heart
He has made me whole
Though the road of the world is easy
Because many have travelled there,
But heaven is a greater splendor
The rewards are better up there
To live in the light
We must trust and obey,
For great is His Kingdom
That is coming someday
If only our loved ones could see
The love and promises of our Savior,
What great rejoicing in heaven
For yours and mine to reign forever!
